Hello! My name is Sarah Elizabeth Huff and I (obviously) run Sarah Elizabeth Photography. We may or may not be complete strangers so let me tell you a bit about myself!
I am 18 years old, currently working to finish high school in May 2014. After that I plan to attend Parkland college and the University of Illinois through the Parkland Pathways to U of I program, in order to become an elementary school teacher. I currently have a second job, next to being a photographer, as a sales associate at Forever 21. When I am not working on photography, I love to listen to music. If there is one thing that can really get a conversation started with me, it is music. Some of my favorite bands are Mumford & Sons, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Relient K. I do enjoy my coffee, maybe a bit too much, as well as tea. I love quotes and quoting things. You will find quotes all over my site, there is just something fantastic with the feeling when you find a good quote.
Some background on my photography:
I started getting involved in photography around my freshman year of high school, so about 4 years ago. I started off just like anyone else, just a girl with a camera, taking pictures of everything (literally everything) I found interesting. As the years went by, my skills progessed and I found people asking for photoshoots. After a while I realized that I could go pretty far in this if I wanted to, I even considered doing photography as a career but at some point I realized something: I do not want photography to become a job. Photography is something I do because I love to create art in photo's. I love to help someone realize truly how beautiful they are. I love capturing those true smiles and laughter in photo's. I love when a person comes for a photoshoot that they plan to be absolutely perfect and have their best fake smile on and I capture the moments when they are truly having fun and laughing, that's the beauty of it. This whole experience has taught me to be myself and I don't want to lose that, I don't want to lose any of this because it becomes stressful as a job. Right now, I am happy to do a photoshoot here and there and bigger jobs, such as weddings, every now and again. Photography has made me a part of who I am today, and I will be forever changed because of it.
I'd love for you to contact me with any needs, wishes, or thoughts! Just make sure to include your name and email so I can get back to you!
